Mutant p53 Directs PARP to Regulate Replication Stress and Drive Breast Cancer Metastasis

These findings suggest a possible way to target a weakness in some triple-negative breast cancers. They also raise the possibility that a tumor’s p53 status could help identify who might benefit from this drug combination. These are preclinical results: further research is needed to determine whether the approach is safe and effective for patients.
